Good Monday! Today’s topic is the classification of raw materials for our hats
The first is raffia, which was introduced in the previous news and is the most common hat we make.
Next is paper straw . Compared with raffia, paper straw is cheaper, more evenly dyed, smoother to the touch, almost flawless, and very light in quality. It is a substitute for raffia. Many of our customers will choose paper straw hat, the paper straw we use has FSC certification. FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) forest certification refers to a system that certifies properly managed forests. It is a system born in the context of global forest reduction and degradation problems and the sharp increase in demand for forest trees.
FSC® Forest Certification includes “FM (Forest Management) Certification” which certifies proper forest management, and “COC (Processing and Distribution Management) Certification” which certifies the proper processing and distribution of forest products produced in certified forests. Certification”.
Certified products are marked with the FSC® logo.
As environmental awareness increases, more and more companies and individuals choose FSC® certified products. So if you are also concerned about environmental issues, please rest assured that our paper has FSC certification.
Bao straw is also a very popular material. It is lighter in texture, 40% lighter than raffia, has fine weaving, and is more expensive.
Yellow grass looks very similar to raffia, but is harder to the touch, more glossy, light in texture, and has a light grassy smell.
The natural color of seagrass is uneven, green with yellow. Compared with other types of grass, it is slightly heavier and the weaving process is rougher. It is a different style of hat.
Regarding hats, I will write this here first, and I will continue to share them with you in the next issue.
